Avemar is not a replacement or substitute for clinically indicated anti-cancer therapies and procedures. Keep out of reach of children. The medication should only be taken under medical supervision, for patients of 14 years and older. The use of Avemar should be discontinued 2 days before barium sulfate X-ray contrast examinations and should not be reinstated within 2 days after the completion of the examination! Patients with dia-betes can take Avemar under the supervision of a health professional, but the product's carbohydrate content must be taken into consideration.
